The key to creating a successful swimming pool and landscape is to always be thinking about the big picture when designing each individual part. It’s not about adding a patio off the back of the house and having four feet of concrete walkway surrounding the pool; it’s about taking the land and making every square foot of it functional so that people can get more usage and enjoyment out of their property. Unique Companies Designer, Mike Trail did just that with the Pang Project.
“As a designer, I want to give my clients every single option available—every feature, every layout, every different way the pool can function in their backyard,” says Trail. “I want to give them as much information as possible so they can make an informed decision, and that’s why the interview process is so critical. The clients had a pretty good idea of the main features they wanted to have within their landscape. The items at the top of their list were a pool, spa, water features, fire features and outdoor fireplace.”
Creating the ultimate oasis in your backyard involves more than just filling an empty space with an assortment of outdoor stuff. The formula for a visually appealing & functional backyard involves the use of many elements that work well in outdoor space personalized just for you! This backyard was completely empty when Mike started the design. He added a pool, spa, fireplace, Travertine decking, beautiful glass tile and fire wok pots on top of cascading water features.
