Complete Front and Backyard Re-Design in Scottsdale
This project required a complete overhaul of both the front and back yards. In the front, many of the plantings were overgrown and blocking views of the home. The back yard had an old, cracked patio that was too small for the family’s needs. The vegetation was overgrown, and the potential of the yard was not being utilized.
The biggest priority was to add a pool and a hot tub and to replace the back patio: it was rapidly deteriorating, and its location on the north side of the house did not allow for much sunlight. To remedy this, our designer, Carlo planned a larger patio than the original, extending it into the backyard. The Belgard paver patio was more integrated with the overall look of the landscaping, and the extension exposed the area to more sunlight. The new pool featured a baja step and water features and a glass tile raised wall with water scuppers spilling off the edge and amazing fire channels to light up the night.
The expansion of the patio created room for a gas fire pit seating area, so the space could be used for entertaining friends. Also, a pergola and barbeque area for dining. And an artificial grass area provided a nice splash of color and softness to the backyard
