LANDSCAPE DESIGNER: TODD MICHAELSON

Design Experience

Todd Michaelson is a landscape architect with over 10 years of experience with both public and private design work. Born, raised and educated in the pacific northwest, Todd pursued the sunnier side of the country and his professional experience in California and Arizona has allowed him to work on projects throughout the southwestern United States.

Having worked in several multi-disciplinary design firms, Todd was exposed to many facets of landscape architecture including; park and open space planning, community master planning, roof gardens, new urbanism, resort design and private residential gardens. Being able to work side by side with architects, interior designers, and biologists has provided Todd with a more diverse knowledge base and more effective management skills as a landscape architect.

Mr. Michaelson has found the private garden to be uniquely rewarding. “I have always appreciated the challenge of balancing the needs of the environment with the needs of the users, but my favorite subject is people and having the opportunity to capture the personalities of home-owners in their garden is a privilege I take seriously.”

The most important people in Todd’s life are his wife, two daughters and three sons.
